Constructional Features
Body
The bodies are manufactured from high strength alloyed cast iron. Addition of alloys like Chromium, Nickel and Manganese is made for better bearing properties to ensure longer life.
Jaws
Jaws are of case hardening steel and are properly heat treated. All the gripping faces are precision ground for accurate fitting. Internal and External Jaws are supplied with each chuck.
Scroll
Scrolls are manufactured from wear resistant steels and heat treated to provide long life.
Pinions
Pinions are properly heat treated for durability. These have square holes to operate the chuck.
Operating Key
The operating key of suitable strength is provided with each chuck.
Mounting Bolts
A set three mounting bolts with 3 jaw chuck and four with 4 jaw chuck is provided.
Guarantee
'ZITHER' Lathe Chuck bears guarantee for the period of one year against MANUFACTURING DEFECTS ONLY.
All Parts are interchangeable. Inspection report and operating instructions provided with each chuck.
